Cain is a playable character in The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, he always starts first.

Strategies[ | ]

Due to his ability, Cain can make the odds in his favor by not only knowing what cards come next, but also what order they come in, which he can manipulate to keep good loot and treasure just out of reach. He can also use this as a bluff to make people think he put the good cards at the bottom, and then use this to grab them when no one else thinks they're there. This, combined with the fact he always goes first, makes him a formidable foe, and a good choice.

Ways to use Sleight of Hand:

  • On your turn, look at the top 3 cards of the Treasure Deck, and put the best item on top and buy it.
  • Right before it rotates to your turn, look at the top 3 cards of the Loot Deck, put the best card on top, so when it's your turn you draw the best Loot Card.
  • On your turn, look at the top 3 cards of the Monster Deck, put a monster that you can take on top and attack it, you can also put the hardest boss on top, and wait until another player attacks the deck, forcing them to fight it.
  • In very specific scenarios, Cain can perform a combo to get infinite turns. If there are less than 3 cards in the Loot Deck and you know that one of the cards in the is XIX. The Sun then you can use Sleight of Hand to put The Sun on top of the deck every turn and always draw into it and take another turn.

Additional notes[ | ]

Cain was one of the original 4 characters in the base card game, being put in all copies of it. Cain also always goes first, though if he isn't being played, it's the saddest person who goes first
